Support This website was started and created by a large group of friends from around the world, We all had one thing in common, unfortunately it is cancer. Some of us have loved ones dealing with cancer, and some of us have cancer ourselves, but all who have been touched by cancer are more then welcome to join us. Patients, Caregivers, Friends and Family members alike, We all need support from time to time, and this is the place we have created for it.
History We Started as a very small group on Jan. 5th 2003. We created an MSN Chat room we titled Cancer Care, since that original day, we have grown from one member to over 400 active group and chat members from around the world. Sometimes we laugh, and sometimes we cry, but through it all we have become a family. A family that truly understands all that is behind the word cancer, from day one and the overwhelming time of hearing the word cancer, through the waiting for results period, to the treatments, and recovery periods, we have all been there. Or in many cases still are there. As many of us do when we first hear the word cancer, we research it on the internet, and unfortunately end up with tons of medical jargon, statistics and 20 letter long words that might as well be in some foreign language. Most of the time we have no idea what they mean.
Live Chat This site is a bit different, we are real people, with real stories rather then statistics and meaningless words, in this room if you ask someone, how does it feel to have chemo, they can tell you first hand how it felt for them, and that first hand experience is something that is very hard to find on the internet or in brochures and can be a tremendous help. We have 2 dedicated chat servers open 24 hours a day and 7 days a week accessible from around the world, You will be able to chat with others going through the same thing, in a safe and secure environment, with others traveling on the same journey. Information We have just added an up to date daily latest News section, this will contain headline making information regarding Cancer and its treatments from several top news agency's, You will be able to access this section by clicking on the latest news link to the left, in the green sidebar . We also have a section for first hand accounts, a diary so to speak for those who wish to share their stories, if you are dealing with Sarcoma for example, you will be able to click on Sarcoma and you will be able to read one or possibly several of our members personal experiences with it, and how they coped through the good times and the bad. Please click on the Personal Stories link also located on the green sidebar to view several peoples story's in their own words If you would be interested in sharing your story with others, please email us with your story and we will be happy to create a page for it. All names will be omitted and your story will only be listed by cancer type, In sharing your story with others, not only does it help with your healing process, but something you mention may be just the information someone who is just finding out they have cancer may be looking for. Vision The goal of this site is to provide 24 hour a day, 7 day a week, worldwide information and support, not only in medical terms, but also on a personal level as well.. We want you to know we are here for you, and we pledge to do our very best to help you in anyway we can. We have just added a new page titled "Tests For Life", this page will allow you to learn more information on the latest Home based tests for certain kinds of cancer, Each is FDA approved, and laboratory certified.
